National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month

June is Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month. To celebrate with your family, we included some recipes from our friends at Common Threads. Common Threads, through our partnership with Metropolitan Family Services, provides educational programs designed to teach students and families about healthy eating. See below for some recipe ideas using fresh fruits and vegetables.

Fall Reopening Survey for Families!

CPS has created a survey to ask families their thoughts about the upcoming school year. To learn more about the survey, read Mrs. Dixon's letter. Please complete the CPS Family Survey for the 2021-2022 School Year. The survey is available in Spanish by selecting the language at the top right corner of the screen.

Are YOU ready to apply for preschool?

Enrolling your 3- or 4-year-old in a Chicago Early Learning preschool program is easy! Follow the steps on the Chicago Early Learning website beginning April 21st.

GoCPS Update: Round 2 Offers Released June 18th.

Offers for students who applied in Round 2 can check their accounts beginning June 18th. To access your account, go to GoCPS.

Health Screener for In-Person Students

As we welcome more students back to in-person learning for 4th quarter, please remember to complete the screener EACH MORNING before coming to school.

All students returning for in-person learning must complete the CPS Health Screener before entering the building.

New School Sign at Dawes!

The next time you're at school, be sure to check out the new marquee sign at Dawes! This new sign will help us better communicate with students, families and community members about upcoming events and important dates.
