Covington Place Newsletter
February 7, 2016 - For Residents of Covington Place
CALLING ALL RESIDENTS INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CANDIDATE FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
On February 16, 2016 we will hold an election for a two-year term to the HOA Board of Directors. There are three seats available. For the last few weeks we have been actively soliciting names to be placed into nomination. So far, three members have submitted their names for consideration. Therefore, we are extending the nomination date until Monday, February 8th at close of business.
.
You can submit your name by sending an email to pgfuto@gmail.com. Include your name, address and phone number with a brief description of your qualifications, and a recent headshot (photo in JPEG format). A Board member will contact you to confirm your nomination.
.
Serving on the Board of Directors requires a minimum amount of time and should not be an impediment in deciding to run for office. Our administrative vendor, Sentry Management, handles the basic accounting, legal, and logistics work. The Board of Directors works as a team to set policy, write procedures, provide oversight and is the voice of the HOA.
.
We need members in good standing to accept this challenge. We need help protecting and consolidating the gains of the last four years. Please place your name in nomination today. If not you, who?
THREE (3) DECLARED BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATES - WILL YOU JOIN THEM?
FAYE BROWN
I have decided that I want to enter my name as a potential board member. My name is Yolanda "Faye" Brown-Stone and I live on Plantation Circle.
.
My background consist of previously being a computer programmer, Software Quality Assurance Specialist and a Mortgage Loan officer. I am currently an HR Generalist and I work from home. I also am an IRS authorized tax preparer. I am proficient in the MS Office Suite. I also use QuickBooks Pro. In my career, I have developed project management training and experience involving events such as conferences, business meetings and social events.
.
I previously lived in a subdivision for 23 years which has a HOA so I think I can be an asset to our HOA.
.
Thank you for your consideration,
Y. Faye Brown
CHRIS BRANAN
My name is Chris Branan. I am a native of Covington and I live with my wife Debbie and son Jake on Willow Pt. I am a former active duty Marine and a retired corrections officer for the State of Georgia, and very happy to be a stay-at-home Dad.
.
I would be honored to serve on the HOA Board. After only 3 years in Covington Place, I find it’s one of the best places in the county to live in. To be able to assist in decisions regarding the well-being of the residents, finding solutions to challenges that arise, assisting in planning the many events throughout the year that help make this such a delightful place to live, maintaining the integrity of the neighborhood and its amenities, and working with others who have the same intent as I do would be a terrific learning experience and opportunity to serve. Like you, I wish only to keep Covington Place a safe, comfortable, great place to live.
PAT SHOWALTER
.
My husband, Don, and I have lived on Crestview Drive in Covington Place for 9-1/2 years. I believe my background as a legal specialist in the corporate arena, my love for our great neighborhood, and my desire to see our neighborhood continue to uphold its high standards in the community, are attributes that would help me successfully fulfill my duties on the board.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED AS A BOARD MEMBER CANDIDATE, PLEASE CONTACT PERI FUTO BY TOMORROW!
