Aysha Labon - Speaker: Stop Being Afraid to Love
In 2012, when my son was the age of 4 (while working 2 jobs and completing an internship)- I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama, shortly before moving to Atlanta. I vividly remember working at least one of my two jobs every day, completing school projects at 2 am, and feeding my son Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches thinking- “life won’t be like this always”. That ever, present faith sustained me; until faith became fact! Now, I encourage others to do it too- Make It Happen. Last summer, I launched my very own YouTube channel designed primarily to encourage others to stop hoping it happens, or wishing it happens, but instead START MAKING IT HAPPEN. Today, I work Monday-Friday, I complete all my work projects by 5:30 pm to spend valuable time with my son, but more importantly I am able to feed my son much more than peanut butter and jelly.
