Winter 2023
ColorathonThe COLORATHON is coming up March 18th! The deadline to register is this Wednesday March 1st. All registrations and donations need to be submitted by March 1st so we have time to order the awesome prizes! Click here to register. Memorial students use Group ID 121313 and MAS students use Group ID 121312. Each student registered must raise $30 by Wednesday, March 1 to participate. As students raise more money, they win more cool prizes! The top 5 fundraisers from each school get to start the event by throwing color on Mr. Jordan and Mr. Halligan! COLORATHON is a family friendly event suitable for all ages. The participants will run around the backfield at MAS while teachers and volunteers throw powdered color on them. There will be a DJ, 50/50 raffle, donuts and coffee for sale, and the Ice Cream Lady will be there too. There will also be extra color packs and fun, colorful items for purchase. Register now and plan on coming out for a fun-filled morning on March 18! | March MadnessOn March 24, we will be hosting our 1st ever March Madness MAS vs. MEM parent basketball game. The night is sure to bring some great sportsmanship, laughs, and hopefully not too many injuries. We will have a 50/50, snacks, and the cheerleaders at halftime! Along with the game, there will be a 55" LG Smart TV raffle happening throughout the month of March. Tickets are $10 for 1 or 3 for $25 and will only be available for purchase through RevTrak. Admission to the event will be $2.00. Unfortunately, there are no more spots left for parents to play. We got an overwhelming amount of parent volunteers. If you missed out on signing up, please look for our volunteer form to work the event, which will be coming out soon. | Cookies with SantaCookies with Santa was held on December 9, 2022. The students visited various stations throughout the night. Kids were able to make reindeer food, a photo frame, ornament, candy cane reindeer, and holiday cards. Most importantly everyone was able to enjoy some milk and cookies and take a photo with Santa. A special thank you to Sam Conoscenti for volunteering to be Santa for the night. Thank you to Anemone White and Colleen Chacon for organizing the event for our families. Thank you to the Chacon family for getting the milk donated for the event. The night would not have been possible if it were not for our volunteers either. Thank you to Lisa Penna, Debbie Garcia, Priya Cassidy, Anusha Karthikeyan, Erin Lentini, Dimelza Pardo, Elizabeth John, Lauren Venekas, Shikha Gupta, Jasmin Smith, and all the others who stepped in to help last minute. |

PTO SpendingThe PTO is happy to put a portion of its funds towards offsetting the cost of field trips. MAP students attended Abma’s farm back in the fall and the third grade will be going to Liberty Science Center on March 9th. We look forward to helping the other grade levels out with their field trips as the year progresses. The PTO will be paying for all grade level concerts to be filmed by a videographer. The videographer will film the entire concert and a link is provided to parents to view and share with others. Parents can now watch the concert and enjoy it instead of having to hold their phones up the entire time! | Spirit SticksSpirit Sticks have been on sale once a month during dismissal and at some of our events. Sports themed spirit sticks are coming soon... Be on the lookout for our next sale! | Theater Week The PTO has partnered Better than Broadway to come in and host Theater Week at Memorial School for the first time April 10-14th. Students in grades 1 - 3 will get the chance to sign up for the week and put on a play for their family and friends. Practice will be held Monday - Thursday after school from 3:00-5:00 p.m. that week. On Friday they will perform the play for friends during school and then again at night for their parents. More information to come soon. |
