The Wilmot Word: 05-19-2023

What a Week...

Yesterday was such an exciting day at Wilmot. We welcomed a special former student back to Wilmot. Actress Marlee Matlin came to visit her old elementary school. Ms. Matlin was joined by a production crew who is making a documentary about her life that will air on PBS. Ms. Matlin met with our 5th-grade student council officers who gave her a tour of the school, answered her questions, and learned about her time as a Wilmot student. Ms. Matlin had one of her first acting roles right here on our Wilmot stage. I was very impressed by the warmth and interest she showed our student leaders. I look forward to seeing the documentary about her life!
