Giving Tuesday is Quickly Approaching!

Don't forget about Giving Tuesday #WeGiveCatholic!

In the past, Giving Tuesday has given us the ability to install a new Gym Floor, an AMAZING playground, and purchase necessary technology for our students!

We are working this year, to raise funds for continued updates in technology, the ability to give our students more chances to work with cutting edge technology in our STREAM Lab/ Makers Space, and the capability to update apps and classroom technology that are used on a daily basis to enhance and supplement the curriculum!

We want to keep the tradition of excellence alive at SCS! Please consider donating and spreading the word to family members, friends, business colleagues, and businesses. No amount is too small! Every little bit helps!

Change of Routine

It is imperative that we receive change of routine forms when child's normal schedule changes for afternoon pick-up.

You must communicate with the Office on your child's change of routine. Simply emailing the teacher is not enough.

For example: If your child is tutoring with a teacher and not riding the bus as normal, we must know. Please send in a change of routine form.

CHANGE OF ROUTINE FORMS

Absences

As a reminder, you must let the School Office know of your child's absence.

You must call the School Office at 216-524-4816 to report your child's absence.

Please call by 8:30AM.

Quarantine Procedures

The Quarantine Procedures that were sent a few newsletters ago pertain to students within a classroom setting. Those procedures do not outline the necessary steps if a child contracts COVID or a family member within the household contracts COVID.

If a family member within the same household tests positive for COVID:

All students who attend SCS must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. Those students must also present a NEGATIVE COVID test that is no more than 3 days old before being allowed to return.

If during that 10 day period, symptoms of COVID being to emerge, please contact your child's pediatrician for further advice and a COVID test. If a child contracts COVID who attends SCS, that child must remain in a 14 day isolation (away from others) before being able to assume normally scheduled activities; school, sports, etc.

While in a 10 Day Quarantine, if that child tests positive for COVID, the 10 day quarantine no longer exists and it automatically becomes a 14 day isolation.

We are at 112 wreaths... can we do 200?! YES! WE! CAN!

112 WREATHS! We Can Do This, Knights!

I am excited to have the opportunity for St. Columbkille to show their love and support to our Military!

Our goal is to donate 200 Wreaths for the Soldiers who have been laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery through the Wreaths Across America Organization.

St. Columbkille School will receive $5 back for every wreath that is donated from our school, and will be used for upcoming Military events here at SCS. Each wreath is $15.

This event will continue to demonstrate how our SCS community supports The United States Military and our Purple Star Mission.

These wreaths will be placed at the tombstones of our Military Personnel at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery located in Rittman, Ohio on Saturday, December 18th at noon.

Tis the Season to... Check Your Lunch Accounts!

This is a friendly reminder as we near Christmas season and our lives get a bit more hectic, please double check lunch accounts to make sure there is money available for your child to purchase his/her lunch.

Your child(ren) will never go without a lunch!

Please let us know if you are experiencing a financial hardship and we will assist you to the best of our ability.

If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Jackie Wegrzynowski at jwegrzynowski@stcolumbkilleschool.org
