From the DES Specialists
Hello DES Families
As we complete the first trimester of this school year, Specialists have posted report card grades for each student. Specialists see your child once a week to work on a set of specific standards that compliment the academic curriculum. In order to assist families with understanding any student's grades in our classes, members of the Specialist Team will be available for conferences on December 14th and 15th . Any parent who has questions or concerns should use the links provided to schedule a time to meet with a Specialist educator.
We look forward to meeting with you-

Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Dighton – Rehoboth School Health Services program supports your student’s academic success by promoting health in the school setting. One way that we provide care for your student is by performing the health screenings as mandated by the State of Massachusetts. Screenings are not a diagnostic tool, but rather a means of identifying potential problems that can affect a child’s performance in school. The following screenings will be performed over the next several months:
Vision – Grades pre K; K - 4
Hearing – Grades pre K; K- 3
BMI (height and weight) – Grades 1 and 4
If your child is tested and the results are not in the “normal” range for the vision and hearing screen, you will be notified by letter. If you receive a letter, it is recommended that you take your child to a healthcare provider for a comprehensive evaluation.
If you want your child to participate in the screenings for his/her grade, no further action is required. If you do not want your child to participate in any of the screenings, please contact Mrs. Alberto, the school nurse, by December 9th.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school nurse at (508) 669 4247
ext 1103
