Important Reminders & Updates
Stolen Cones: The orange cones that we use to clear a walkway for students in the Circle Drive were stolen from our campus around 8:35 pm last Friday night. In the surveillance video, we see four individuals exiting what appears to be a light colored Ford Fusion (or similar vehicle). These individuals take the cones and promptly leave campus. We would really like to have our cones back, as they help us keep our students safe during dismissal! If you have any information about this, please contact Dr. Mayes.
Arrival: If you drop your students off at the S. Elm lot in the morning, please make sure you pull all the way up to where Dr. Mayes is standing. When parents stop in the middle of the drive, it cuts the line off and creates a back-up at the intersection.
Late Arrival: School starts at 8:25 am. If your student arrives at school at or after 8:25 am, please drop your student off at the cafeteria entrance located near the circle drive instead of the S. Elm lot. The cafeteria entrance is closest to the main office, which is where your student will check in. Late students who enter through the S. Elm entrance have a long walk to the main office due to the one way hallways, which is time consuming. It is our goal to get your student checked in and off to class as quickly as possible. This why we ask parents to drop late students off at the cafeteria entrance. The S. Elm door will be locked promptly at 8:25 am. If your child is late, please drop off at the Cafeteria entrance.
Attention 8th grade Parents!
As part of our 8th Grade Celebration, we will be showing a presentation with pictures of every student. We are asking parents for help by submitting 2 pictures of your child - one from their Kindergarten year and one from their 8th grade year. These do not have to be school pictures.
Please email your pictures to hill.brian2@wgcloud.org by April 16th. To help with organizing all of these pictures, please:
Make sure your pictures are .png or .jpg files.
Name these files as:
LastName.FirstName-1 (Kindergarten), LastName.FirstName-2 (8th grade)
Revised Plan for Supporting Quarantined Students
School Pictures
Pictures for Students in the Responsive Program
Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph the remaining students in the Responsive Program on Monday, February 1. If your student is in the Responsive Learning Plan, this will be the last opportunity to have their picture taken at school. Currently there are 59 students in the Responsive plan who still need their picture taken.
Pictures for Students in the Virtual Program
Because there are 92 virtual students who still need their picture taken, we are working with Wagner on some options for photos for virtual students since we know that there are concerns with virtual students coming into the building to take their picture. Therefore, we will communicate directly with parents of virtual students about a plan for capturing these remaining photos.
Please send questions, concerns, or special requests directly to Wagner Portrait Group. We are happy to help! (1-800-444-7986, info@wagnerportaitgroup.com)
