Delayed Start/Snow Day Information
It’s hard to believe snow may be just around the corner! In the event of inclement weather, school may be closed or delayed. Bromley East will follow the procedures of 27J Schools. Please watch 9News or listen to KOA radio (850 AM) for information regarding school closures and delays.
If the school is closed due to bad weather, activities such as sports, drama, or other after-school activities will most likely be canceled. However, the weather can change dramatically allowing for safe conditions to exist later in the day. If this occurs, the sponsor/coach will contact the participants and make sure they are aware of the situation.
Delayed Start
Students will attend school starting at 9:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM for Elementary and 3:40 PM for Middle. Students may arrive on campus starting at 9:10 AM and will continue to enter the building through their normal doors unless otherwise stated. Breakfast will not be served on these days; however, lunch service will continue as scheduled.
Elementary Specials will run on its regular schedule, with 4th grade having a shortened class beginning at 9:40.
Snow Days
Students will not attend school virtually or in person for that day only. This will be a non-contact day for students. If consecutive days are needed, on the second day and subsequent days, students will engage in online learning following the schedule provided by their teachers.
Should Bromley experience more than 3 non-contact (stand-alone) snow days, additional contact days may be added to the school calendar to ensure we meet our instructional hours requirement by CDE.
