STAAR Information:
There are many things that you can do to help your child feel prepared for the test:
· Have a calm evening and help your child get a good night’s rest
· Have your child arrive to school on time so they don’t feel rushed
· Eat a nutritious, protein enriched breakfast the morning of the test
· Pack a light sweatshirt or dress in layers (some rooms fluctuate between hot and cold)
· Bring a water bottle and a dry snack (water bottles must be able to close; snack should not be messy)
· Send your child to school with a hug and words of encouragement!
Cell Phones/Devices/Smart Watches:
· No phones, devices, or smart watches are allowed in the classroom during testing.
· All phones, devices, and smart watches should be off and in the student’s backpack.
Reminders:
· Please avoid scheduling any appointments for your child during a test day.
· The campus is closed to visitors the week of testing.
You make a big difference in how your child feels and performs each day at school - especially on test days.

- Please try to avoid delivering items to the school if your child forgets something.
- Please remember the cafeteria will be closed to visitors.
We truly appreciate your support with this.
