The students spent the majority of their time this week working on their individual Texas Performance Standards Project. In addition to the project work, the students spent time coding, listening to, and discussing the read aloud books.

What hidden emotions complicate parenting a gifted child?

This may or may not be an easy article to digest, but I think it provides some food for thought. While it isn't easy to admit, I know as a parent of a gifted child, there were times over the last 20 years that I could have checked some of those statements. Parenting a gifted child can be eye-opening, challenging, exciting, and sometimes heart-wrenching, but more than anything, it is an amazingly beautiful journey.
