Library Fun!

8th Grade Research - The Holocaust

Eighth grade English classes each spent 4 days in the library to research various aspects of the Holocaust using print resources and specially curated electronic resources via a Holocaust LibGuide. This research assignment helped build students' background knowledge of the subject in preparation for reading Night, a critically-acclaimed memoir written by Holocaust survivor, Elie Wiesel.

7th Grade Research - Civil Rights Stations

Seventh grade Reading classes have been learning about the Civil Rights Movement through various stations in the library. In these stations, students read articles and book excerpts and viewed video clips about key events of the time; analyzed art, speeches, poetry, and graphs; wrote summaries about what they learned, recorded their personal reactions, and created their own poetry. For more information, please visit the Civil Rights Station LibGuide.
