Week 7 in Review
War of 1812, Courage Retreat, Race, and Inventions
Week of 10.19 - 10.23
10.20: We finished The War of 1812 video and discussed as a class. I showed the students where to find the notes on The War of 1812 on my website. Studying the notes was assigned as homework.
10.21: We attended our annual Courage Retreat led by Youth Frontiers. It was a great experience! The kids learned a lot about courage and a lot about themselves. It was a very powerful and emotional day for some. We hope to take the experiences from the day and use them in everyday life going forward.
10.22: I handed out the review packet for the test in two weeks. The students were told where to find the information from the checklist. The checklist is also on my website at mrlibbysclass.weebly.com under Unit 2 if you want to quiz them.
10.23: The kids had a substitute today and watched Channel One current events and went over the math behind The Louisiana Purchase. Kids were then given their missing work reports and caught up on missing work.
