High Point Estates Neighborhood Newsletter
Spring has sprung!
Spring is certainly "in the air" here in High Point Estates as the year 2021 continues to move right along. Even though there has been a lot of positive changes in our world this year such as the availability of Covid-19 Vaccines, we hope all High Point residents continue to stay healthy, happy, and safe by practicing the Six C's which are: Cover up with a mask, Clean your hands, Care for yourself, and avoid Crowds, Close Contact, and Closed spaces. Finally, as working from home becomes the "norm" for many, don't forget to get some fresh air! We have a beautiful neighborhood, which perhaps makes it easy to take a break and go outside for a few minutes. Here are 10 reasons why being outside is important. 😎
Be safe, healthy, and happy,
Monica Croom

HOA Dues - May 1st
This is a friendly reminder that the second installment of HOA Dues was due May 1st. Please be advised that payment plans are available for homeowners who may be experiencing a financial hardship. If you are experiencing a hardship, please remember to inquire about a payment plan BEFORE any legal action takes place. Legal action commences once an owner has a minimum assessment balance of $500 and is 60+ days delinquent. Once legal action has commenced, it cannot be stopped and will result in additional fees.

Reminder - No Airbnb's
Please remember that unauthorized leasing, inclusive of short-term rentals, home sharing services (e.g. Airbnb), is strictly prohibited! Violators are subject to fines. The Board would like to thank all homeowners in advance for adhering to our Declaration of Protective Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for High Point Estates Homeowner's Association. Our covenants help protect our property values, promote safety and aesthetic appeal, as well as improve the neighborhood's quality of life.
Violation Notices & Modification Requests
From time-to-time, our property management company (Homeside Properties) may issue a violation notice during routine community visits. We recognize that receiving a violation notice may be frustrating for some. However, please remember this is done in the spirit of protecting our home values.
Upon receipt of a violation, homeowners have 30 days to satisfactorily resolve or respond to a violation notice before fines are assessed. If additional time is required to resolve a violation, please provide an estimated resolution date in your response.
Additionally, please note, to preserve a harmonious design, all exterior home modifications require Board approval. Please review our Architectural Guidelines and remember to submit a Modification Request Form prior to beginning any exterior home modifications
Atlanta Beltline Legacy Retention Program
With mounting concerns that revitalization could drive up home appraisals, property appreciation, and higher property taxes, the Legacy Resident Retention Program is a resource for current homeowners to cover the cost of increases in property taxes to prevent displacement. The program assists homeowners with existing property tax bills through tax year 2030. It operates as a grant and does not require participants to pay back any funds received. Fund payment will begin with the 2020 tax year.
Home Values Are Rising ⬆...Let's All Do Our Part! 😃
• Replacing or repairing mailboxes and/or posts
• Trimming shrubs and bushes
• Pressure washing or Painting your home
• Replacing rotted wood to include homes, decks, fencing, etc. and painting/staining if needed
• Storing all trash containers out of public view
• Mowing lawns regularly and addressing weeds and possible bare spots. Also, please do not blow leaves and grass clippings into the street or storm drains.
