Weekly Update for Families on Catholic Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear School Families,

This week in the Archdiocese schools celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Day. The Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages of schools were buzzing with thanks and congratulations submitted by hard-working and dedicated parents such as yourself. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated by all!

In Christ,

Tom

Prayer of the Week

Big picture
Thank you to the 2,868 teachers at Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston!

We have compiled resources on our website, at www.csoboston.org/rcabresources. There you will find links on education, mental health, faith, and online security.

Archdiocesan COVID-19 Response Teams

COVID-19 Priest Response Teams are in place in every region of the Archdiocese to bring the Sacrament of the Sick to COVID-19 patients. Dozens of priests have been trained & twenty-three have been assigned to this particular ministry and are quarantining in “safe” houses and rectories. Their primary outreach is to hospitals and some nursing homes.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! Please consider offering a Rosary/day for these priests...or minimally an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be every day for their continued protection and good health! Never underestimate the power of one single prayer!
  • If you or someone in your school community would like to support the priests in other ways or would like to donate to the fund to support the practical needs of the quarantined priests, please email: SupportCovidPriests@rcab.org or send checks to Archdiocese of Boston ℅ Jean Hayward, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree, MA 02184. Monetary donations as well as grocery store gift cards are graciously accepted. If you or your children would like to make thank you or thinking of you cards, please also send those ℅ Jean Hayward.
