Basic Information About Serving on the Community Council
Qualifications
Every public school in Utah has a School Community Council. The SCC is made up of three school employees who are elected by the other employees and five parents who are elected by the guardians of children attending Reading Elementary. Membership terms are for two years, so the four parents elected to the SCC will serve for both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 school years. Elections are held at the beginning of the each school year. For more information please visit https://schools.utah.gov/schoollandtrust/parentscouncils
Election
An election will only be held if we receive more than four candidate names. Elections are held in the guardian myDSD system between September 8-18, 2021.
First Meeting
Our first meeting will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, September 29th at 5pm. The remaining meeting dates will be determined at that time.
