Rain singer
I'm a singing in the rain kind of guy.
From English to Icelandic

Tónagull was founded by Helga Rut Guðmundsdóttir (B.Ed., M.A., Ph.D) She is a music teacher and has a master and doctor degree in music education from McGill university in Montreal, Canada. Helga Rut has three daughters who also love music. She works as a assistant professor in music education in university of iceland. There she guides prospective teachers about teaching music to children. Helga Rut also does some research on the music teaching area with she has published in foreign countries. The first Tonagull´s workshop was held in january 2004 and the workshops has just been increasing after a lot of queries. Today, couple of hundred children have attended to one of Tónagull´s workshops and as a new family members join, they always bring them to one of Tonagull´s workshops. The main idea behind Tónagull, is that the focus on musical upbringing should be music WITH children but not music FOR children. That's why paticipation in music is key in Tónagull where parents and children enjoy growing together with music. Tónagull just accidentally appear,it was created by effects from other people around the world who had similar ideas. As a student the author of Tónagull attended in a musical course for 0-9 year old kids, along with her daughter. The idea came from there and decided to create a similar course in Iceland. After two years in development a CD was created with curriculum to learn from. The CD is a very important part of the Tónagull´s participation. The benefits are that you can listen to th e CD and learn at home when the Workshop is over.

Teitur
Teitur is an Icelandic musician. he begins with singing about a boat that is sinking, and says that everyone has a similar song on they're own. The punchline in this lecture is that singing is sharing.
