November Newsletter
Skyview High School
Dear Storm Families,
It is hard to believe that the first month of school is mostly behind us. It has been wonderful seeing Skyview scholars transition to a new school year! Thank you for attending the Back to School BBQ and Curriculum Night to learn more about what is happening in the classrooms and hallways of our great school. Thank you for attending and supporting all extra-curricular activities. Our programs are highly successful thanks to all of the community support from you.
As we look ahead to the month of October, there are many exciting activities happening at Skyview. Some of these activities include:
1. Parent Conferences are on October 18th and 19th.
a. 10/17 and 10/18 are 2Hr Early Release days.
b. 10/19 is a student non-attendance day.
c. Sign-ups are available through Family Access.
2. Teacher In-Service is on October 12th. This is also a student non-attendance day.
3. Spirit Week is October 22nd – October 26th.
4. Homecoming Dance is October 27th.
5. Mondays are 40 Minute Early Release days.
As a learning community, we continue to focus on our core values of: trust, integrity and commitment to excellence. Skyview students have had a phenomenal start to the year and are working hard.
As an example of trust, integrity and commitment to excellence, our very own Annika Epperly was honored by the VPS school board as a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist at their most recent meeting. We are so very proud of Annika and her hard work.
As the weather gets a bit colder and the leaves change color, I wish everyone in Storm Nation a great October. If I can be of service to you in any way, please contact me at my direct phone line: 360-313-4205.
Yours in education,
James E. Gray

Fall Conferences
Conference scheduling is changing this year!
This year we are using the Conference Scheduler option on Skyward to set up fall conferences. You will need to have your Family Access activated so if you don't already have access to Family Access, please contact our Main Office to find out how to get that set up. Here are 2 ways to learn about how to set up your conferences for your child:
