Lightning Highlights - Vol. 5
Week of 8/29/2022
Principal Post:
Thank you for a great week! If your student has not told you about our Lightning Leader Award, make sure to ask them! We have reviewed our STRIKE behavior with all of our students and they have the opportunity to earn STRIKE tickets everyday! If they receive one, their name goes into a daily drawing for a Lightning Leader Award which is recognized on our announcements. We are excited to celebrate these awesome positive behaviors!

Student COVID-19 Protocol
Following the updated guidance from DSHS, LISD has changed student isolation/exclusion from 10 days to 5 days for COVID-19 positive students.
The LISD dashboard will now serve as our form of notification to staff, students and parents when a campus/department has been notified of a positive COVID-19 individual. 8:00 pm REMIND notifications will no longer be sent
LISD is required and will continue to report all COVID-19 positive cases to the local health departments.
Forgotten Items
It is inevitable that, at some time, your student will forget something, a lunch, water bottle, etc. You can bring the item up to the school where we have drop off shelves in the vestibule. When you get here, you will find stickers that you can fill out with your student's name and teacher. We have two Mrs. Henry's so please add the grade level for those two teachers.
Deliveries are made to the classroom at 10:00, so please have the item here by that time.
After School Enrichment
