September PDCP News
Your guide to navigating the PDC program
PDCP Content Specialist Changes
Rhonda will no longer be working with the PDC program. The position is currently being filled and an email will be sent to all participants once this individual is fully on-board. In the meantime, Lynnette Thorstensen will continue to monitor the program, approve courses, and work to ensure candidate's questions are answered. Please don't forget to reach out to your task mentors. They are going to be working diligently over the next few weeks to get all of your tasks scored.
SEPTEMBER TIP OF THE MONTH
Connect with your task assessor by looking in the "Supporting Documents" and then looking for the PDCP Assessor Listing. You will find the tasks and mentors assigned to score them. When you need assistance or clarification, please email them using Microsoft Outlook. All of the assessors are BPS teachers, working in a variety of different positions and locations. They are there to help. Once you complete a task, you will load it into Blackboard and then send them an email to let them know it has been loaded.
Reading Competency 2
Reading Competency 2 is also a requirement of the PDCP. This course is offered in both summer and in the winter. This year the course will begin in January. Details about registering for the course will be sent directly to participants.
