Causes of the American Revolution
Proclamation of 1763
The king did not allow the colonist to move to the Ohio river Valley because the king was worried that another war might happen.
Stamp Act of 1765
The stamp act was a tax on paper products. The colonist felt angry, they refused to buy it or burned the paper.
The townshend act of 1767
The townshend taxed goods. The colonist felt angry and did not want to buy it anymore. It made the soldiers easier to get in your house.
The Boston Massacre of 1770
A group of colonist were arguing with the British. One colonist threw a club at one of the soldiers and one of the soldiers shot one colonist. After that shot, all of the soldiers started to shoot more colonist. Five colonist were killed that day.
The Tea Act of 1773
During these times, you can only buy tea from Britain. The colonist were worried that they would take out the cheap tea stores.
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
It all started when the Indians snuck on to the tea filled ship and dumped it all out into the ocean.
The Intolerable Acts of 1774
The intolerable acts were six famous acts. The colonist started to call it Intolerable because it was unable to endured.
Lexington and Concord of 1775.
The Lexington and Concord was famous for the shot heard around the world.
