Cyrano de Bergerac
Roxane is Cyrano’s cousin and a beautiful heir as Cyrano describes her as “the woman in the world with most beautiful. In all this world – most sweet; most wise; most witty; and most fair” (Rostand 40). She was mislead into loving another man for his looks and fake voice, by receiving love letters from Cyrano. After Cyrano discloses the truth, she forgives him instead of turning him down, and went on to blame herself when she said “I have done this to you! All my fault – mine” (Rostand 193). Roxane struggled for love, which later made her a strong person when finding her real man.
