Welcome new staff to our KP Community

My name is Marianne Murawski and I'm a retired detective from New York City. My police career included the Special Victim's Unit and community policing in the New York City Police Department. I was also a substitute middle school teacher. I am the proud mom of two daughters who are both in college. I'm an avid athlete and enjoy taking boot camp and Zumba classes. I'm also a huge UCONN Huskies women's basketball fan. I look forward to working with the staff here at KP!

Unified Theater News

We are currently looking for leaders for Unified Theater. Unified Theater is a unique experience for students to work with people of all ability to cooperatively put on a student-led production. There is no audition or exclusion, and everyone is a valuable part of the process. We need strong leaders to step up and be willing to direct, choreograph, produce, and make sure that all students are included. This is a fun experience that will help develop leadership skills and a greater understanding of the needs of people of varying abilities. Rehearsals will be on Thursdays after school until 5:00pm with a leaders meeting until 5:30pm. They will start in early October and run through mid December. The deadline for students to apply is September 25th. Please visit for more information on this program, and contact Jared Boulet ( or Heather Pelkey ( for more information.
