Technology Needs?
Technology Support Plan
The Technology Department has developed a plan for elevated support when school-based staff are unable to work through a technical problem with students or parents.
Do you need tech support at home while on your school-issued device? The Technology Department has established a call center that will be able to provide live support from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Tech help can be accessed by phone, form or email.
- Call Center: (503) 785-8790
- Google Request Form: https://bit.ly/2ViNks9
- Email address: remotesupport@orecity.k12.or.us
Do you have an aptitude for technology and customer service? Consider being a remote volunteer and support the call center. Sign up on the volunteer registration form and indicate you would like to help the technology help call center.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR LEARNING AT HOME
We recognize that we are working in difficult times. Every family and student is dealing with unique challenges, and prioritizing needs in each household. We also recognize that there will be a great deal of diversity in how, when, and where our students engage in their distance learning. Below are some suggestions to help support students, if possible.
Work space - If available, try to create or choose a workspace that is quiet, free of distractions, and set aside for work.
Breaks - Although students can work on their lessons anytime, it can be good to build in breaks. Young students are developing stamina for focus and learning. Building in several movement breaks will help break up tasks and help young brains stay energized.
Structure - While they might complain about it, students need structure. Many of our regular schedules and routines have changed in the last month. Creating and following a daily schedule or routine that involves tasks, responsibilities and activities will benefit children.
