Learner Profile: ReflectiveFor the month of January, our school will be highlighting what it means to be a “Reflective” student. As an IB school, we encourage students and teachers to reflect on their learning, their person to person interactions and their life experiences throughout the day.
To promote "Reflective" learners at home, parents can simply ask students about their day. Reflection happens when parents and students discuss the events of their day and “think out loud,” together. | Meow Wolf Denver On December 13th 100 Design and Arts students attended a field trip at Meow Wolf Denver. The field trip was organized with the help of Jeffco's Career and Technical Education Department and Meow Wolf Denver. Students met with different Meow Wolf departments to learn about the different careers offered at Meow Wolf. Students were able to meet and interview staff from Wardrode Coordination, Retail Supervision, Human Resources, Security Management, and Exhibition Maintenance. | MYP Assessment Workshop As an IB school, our teachers are required to attend IB trainings. On January 18th our Instructionl Leadership Team will all attend an assessment workshop. At this workshop teachers will be able to connect with other IB schools around Colorado. Teachers will gain feedback and create authentic formative and summative assessments using the Middle Years Programme (MYP) criteron. |
