Values
Recycling in the classroom:
We recycle paper in the classroom, all the children put their scrap paper into a box just for paper. We used junk mail envelopes, the children can write letters and pretend mail them.
How you can recycle at home:
You can save junk mail envelopes for your children to use for writing letters. Set up your own writing center with envelopes, scrap paper and crayons; this is a great way to incorporate literacy and language into recycling.
Parent Volunteer: We could use a parent volunteer to gather up our paper recycling at Head Start and take it to the Dump about every two weeks.
