This Week In The Classroom

We are changing our daily routine:
We will now be going to centers time after breakfast at 9:45 and then going outside right before lunch from 11-12.

Welcome to two new students! Sylas and Carlie we are excited to have them joining our Head Start Family.

Field Trip: We are going to the Hospital on Tuesday, parent volunteers are needed:)

Scholastic: Books you can order $5 and under online or through the paper flyer we will hand out Monday.

Values

Recycling in the classroom:
We recycle paper in the classroom, all the children put their scrap paper into a box just for paper. We used junk mail envelopes, the children can write letters and pretend mail them.

How you can recycle at home:
You can save junk mail envelopes for your children to use for writing letters. Set up your own writing center with envelopes, scrap paper and crayons; this is a great way to incorporate literacy and language into recycling.

Parent Volunteer:
We could use a parent volunteer to gather up our paper recycling at Head Start and take it to the Dump about every two weeks.

The Homer Dump Recycles:
  • Plastic #1 and #2 no caps
  • Newspaper
  • Mixed paper
  • Tin Cans
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Glass
  • House Hold Batteries

THANK YOU DADS!!

We love having you in the classroom! You are all welcome any day.
