Important information about Local Hospitals Sold to Reading Health Systems
Unfortunately, the Reading Health System has opted not to participate in the Blue Cross network, as of October 1 – this includes Brandywine, Jennersville, Pottstown, Phoenixville, and Chestnut Hill hospitals.
Blue Cross has committed to providing coverage for members at in-network levels at the five hospitals, entities and physicians they employ, during at least the next 30 days. As always, emergency services at any hospital are covered under all plans. Also know that every other general acute-care hospital in the region participates in our network.

Healthcare Savings Account Transition
Don't forget . . . in mid-November 2017, Blue Cross will transfer all custodial responsibilities for your HSA from Bank of America to Acclaris, Inc., a Willis Towers Watson company.
There will be a BLACKOUT PERIOD during this transition, so please carefully review the following:
Monday, November 6th - As of this date, you will no longer be able to use your current HSA Debit Card.
Monday, November 6th through Tuesday, November 14th – A BLACKOUT PERIOD will occur during which you will have no access to your HSA Account nor will you have a debit card effective to use to pay for your expenses.
Wednesday, November 15th – Your new Acclaris Debit Card will be activated and your HSA account will be available to access.
If you contribute to your HSA through payroll deductions, the amount deducted on November 10 will be deposited in your account after the conclusion of the blackout period.
For more information about this change and how it may impact you, click HERE. We will continue to share details about this change as we receive them.
