INFORMATION FOR NOVEMBER 27- MONDAY WHEN WE GET BACK
Teachers this announcement is to help you with your planning. This is an upcoming event we would like to make you aware of:
On the Monday after Thanksgiving break, November 27th, we will be hosting Chad Crews. He is a magician/master storyteller. He will be performing his show "Authors of Mystery and Horror" four times for us that day in the auditorium. Each show will last for 45 minutes. We are going to try to provide the show to all of our students. The shows will be 1st period with the Freshman, 3rd period with the Seniors, 5th period with the Juniors, and 7th period with the Sophomores. Teachers will bring their classes to the auditorium to experience the show. Teachers with mixed classes will bring their entire class if the majority of the students in their class are that grade. If teachers want to learn more about the show they can visit this link: http://www.chadcrewsprograms.com/p/blog-page_17.html If anyone has questions, they can email or speak to the media specialists. It should be a great performance that hopefully inspires our students to read.

Connections Decorate your Door Contest (Optional)
YOU MAY WANT TO START YOUR PLANNING IN CONNECTIONS!!! Decorating can begin when we return from our Thanksgiving break!!!
It's that time of year again and we will be entering the DOOR DECORATING season!! This year, our theme is "Celebrating the Holidays and Making Connections" and each Connections class (if you choose to participate) will design, create, and decorate the classroom door. You may extend beyond the actual door though the door must be included in the design. Please consider participating in the contest. The winning teacher and class will be rewarded.
Doors are judged based on three elements:
Celebrating the Holidays and Making Connections Theme
Creativity
Neatness
Doors must be decorated by Friday, December 8. They will be judged and the winner announced on Tuesday, December 12. Pictures will be taken and forms sent for voting.
Even if you don't want to be part of the contest, you could wrap your door. Just an idea :)
