Principal Message
Have a fantastic week! Remember our energy, tone, attitude impacts our students disposition. Regardless of how they approach the days, we approach it with positive actions and words.
We have all prepared for this week. This is our students time to show what they know! What a tremendous opportunity! Let's be extremely mindful, encouraging, and clear of our expectations as we start and finish strong, this ACP testing week.
Please ensure we are all completing our testing responsibilities with 100% accuracy.
- Details are key - Pay close attention to the important details (correct tests, correct students in testing rooms, correct answer keys, rosters double and triple checked)
- Teamwork makes the dream work - As one part of the 130 member team at ARMS, carryout your role at 100% accuracy and we will create and maintain the MOST OPTIMAL testing experience for all.
I am thankful to close out this last ARMS Legend of 2016. You all are the best staff in DISD and I am grateful and honored to work along side, learn, and lead a talented, committed group of individuals.
Dominate the Day Rangers!
Proudest Principal in DISD,
Mrs. Taylor-Glenn

Operation Excellence: TG2 Spotlight
Spotlight on Ms. De La Rosa - Operation Excellence: Team!
This was my first week at ARMS and EVERYONE has been extremely helpful but Ms. De La Rosa is the one that stuck out the most this week. She reached out to me at our PLC meeting this week and offered to mentor me, be a resource for any questions I have and even helped me in her off period on a Friday afternoon when I know she could have been doing 100 other things!
Spotlight on Mrs. Hasty- Operation Excellence: Team & Grit!
I would like to shine the spotlight on Ms. Hasty's awesome copying process. She completes the job early, and it is always correct. Also-as a side bonus, she keeps the teacher's lounge clean and tiny-and that is not her responsibility. Thank you Ms. Hasty for your positive contributions to the ARMS community!
Spotlight on Ms. Chio- Operation Excellence - Team & Grit!
Mr. Palma writes:
Ms. Chio always helps us do our jobs as best we can. She not only takes care of an important part of this school but also has our back at all times with whatever questions or attendance needs we have. Keep up the good work Ms. Chia! Also Kudos to the rest of the attendance team you're great too.
Each week administrators and instructional coaches will highlight the growth in the instructional practices, creativity, purposeful and meaningful practices that promote student success. It is important that we recognize ALL the Excellence in Teaching we have in all of areas of our academic programs. The highlights are on a rotation and each content/department will be the focus for the week. The rotation will repeat itself throughout the year.
Mrs.Hawkins would like to take the time to highlight two Science teachers.
Instructional Highlight on Mrs. Burks!
Instructional Highlight on Mr. Kattan!
