Cost: $25.00
If you need financial assistance to afford this field trip, we have had 6 generous families donate a trip to a student in need. Please do not hesitate to ask us for assistance. We may also reach out to those who qualify.

This Week's Sexual Education Lessons (May 23-27)
Lessons:
- Escape the Risks by Setting Limits and Using Refusal Skills
- The Cost of Pregnancy and Teen Parenting
Learning Objectives:
- Identify ways to escape situations that could result in pregnancy or transmission of HIV and other STIs.
- Demonstrate effective limit-setting and refusal skills to escape situations that could result in pregnancy or transmission of HIV and other STIs.
- Evaluate the economic costs of pregnancy and teen parenting.
- Predict the social and emotional impact pregnancy and teen parents would have on personal lifestyle
- Identify adoption as an option for teen parents who decide they are not ready for parenting
- Identify Safe Delivery as an alternative to infant abandonment for teen parents.
- Conclude that pregnancy can be fully prevented by abstaining from sex.
Greenspire Climate and Culture Surveys- PLEASE COMPLETE YOURS!
Greenspire has sent out a Climate and Culture Survey to our parents, staff, students and board. Please complete this by May 27th in order for us to understand the areas we need to strengthen in the coming years. Thank you in advance for providing us such valuable data!!
Charter School Expansion Grant Update
Congratulations to Greenspire High School for being awarded an additional 250K!
Interested Students: Please tell Roddy if you are interested in being on our Robotics Team this fall!!
We also hope to start a Chess Club and Debate Team
The Greenspire District Enrollment Update!
For the 2022-2023 school year, we have 12 spots still available for 6th grade. Both the 7th grade and 8th grade are full with waiting lists. We currently have a waiting list of 13 students for 7th grade and 3 students for 8th grade.
At the high school, we are going from 68 students to 130 students next year and adding 11th grade. We have a full 9th grade with 2 on the waiting list. There are 2 available spots in 10th grade. In 11th grade we are full with 3 on the waiting list.
Staffing Update! Welcome Sarah Schaub, School Counselor
As we continue to grow at Greenspire over the next few years, we are pleased to announce that we have hired our first School Counselor. Sarah Schaub will be our new School Counselor beginning in August. She will share time equally between the middle school and high school during the 2022-2023 school year. We are so lucky to have Sarah aboard and she is excited to join Greenspire. It is a perfect fit!

Incredible Mo's- 10am-2pm
Cost Per Student: $25.00
Cost includes: Unlimited bowling/shoes, 2 slices of pizza and pop, $15.00 in arcade games/ laser tag, and our own private event room.
If parents/guardians would like to donate funds to cover others in need, please send in your donation with your student's permission slip/fee.
If parents/guardians are in need of financial assistance for their teen's trip fee, please email Erica or Torre.
