Greenspire Climate and Culture Surveys- PLEASE COMPLETE YOURS!

Charter School Expansion Grant Update

Congratulations to Greenspire High School for being awarded an additional 250K!

Greenspire High School was awarded the Charter School Expansion Grant in 2020. This grant allowed for federal funds to be used to start a high school. Due to Greenspire's diligence and impressive programming efforts, the Michigan Department of Education has granted us an additional $250,000.00 to spend in the coming year. This means we will have more than $700,000.00 to spend to continue to develop this project based learning/environmentally focused high school. These funds are restricted for certain purposes-like curriculum, furniture and technology- and we are honored to be a recipient of this award.

Interested Students: Please tell Roddy if you are interested in being on our Robotics Team this fall!!

We also hope to start a Chess Club and Debate Team

The Greenspire District Enrollment Update!

For the 2022-2023 school year, we have 12 spots still available for 6th grade. Both the 7th grade and 8th grade are full with waiting lists. We currently have a waiting list of 13 students for 7th grade and 3 students for 8th grade.

At the high school, we are going from 68 students to 130 students next year and adding 11th grade. We have a full 9th grade with 2 on the waiting list. There are 2 available spots in 10th grade. In 11th grade we are full with 3 on the waiting list.

Staffing Update! Welcome Sarah Schaub, School Counselor

As we continue to grow at Greenspire over the next few years, we are pleased to announce that we have hired our first School Counselor. Sarah Schaub will be our new School Counselor beginning in August. She will share time equally between the middle school and high school during the 2022-2023 school year. We are so lucky to have Sarah aboard and she is excited to join Greenspire. It is a perfect fit!
