Principal's Message

Beachmont Families,

We hope that you are having a wonderful Winter Break. It is much deserved for students, staff, and families!

I want to first wish everyone an early Happy New Year! We are excited to welcome students back on January 3rd and are looking forward to 2023!

December was a very busy month at the Beachmont. There were several successful community events including our Winter Concert, Scholastic Book Fair, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and PTO Cookie Decorating Night. I am encouraged by the strong home to school collaboration that has taken place in the first 4.5 months of school. We are looking forward to several more opportunities/events to build rapport between home and school.

As we head into the cold January and February months, please make sure that you are sending your child to school with a jacket, hat, gloves, etc. Also, please monitor your child's attendance and arrival/dismissal times. Attendance continues to be a critical piece to academic success. We know that November and December were challenging with the ongoing cold, flu, RSV, COVID, etc. With that being said, I do want to reiterate that if your child is sick, please do not send them to school. As a father of two young children, I know how challenging this has been. It will be a group effort to get through these cold winter months!

We have a lot in store over the final six months of the school year. Please make sure that you are receiving our Class Dojo messages and if not, connect with me or your child's homeroom teacher.

We are excited to welcome students and staff back on January 3rd and looking forward to seeing the academic and social-emotional growth in all of our Beachmont Bees!
