Monday 7/11/2016 - Friday 11/11/2016

We have had another fantastic week of learning here at Balladen CP School.

It was wonderful to hear all of the children's stories and tales after their holidays. Thank you so much for sharing your children with us!

On Monday we had a lovely start to the half term and Reverend Chris spoke in assembly about creativity. We also had our first full governors meeting of the academic year. You may remember the Mr. Nick. Pilling has resigned his position as Chair of Governors. We are in the process of appointing a new Chair. If you have an interest in joining the governors and making a real difference and impact on our school community then please do come and have a chat with me. Thank you.

On Tuesday Sports Cool came into school and gave all of our children an experience in playing dodgeball. The children all loved their game and there were some very competitive games throughout the day.

On Wednesday learning was happening all over the school. Year One were busy developing their gross motor skills in PE. They were really enjoying moving around our hall.

On Thursday it was wet play at lunchtime. The children were really well behaved and enjoyed playing with each other or colouring or playing chess whilst the rain lashed down outside. It was so bad the Mr. Stanton had to cancel the football match. This is something that has never happened before.

On Friday we held our celebration assembly. Our concentration was slightly distracted by a wasp but a big thank you must go to Evie's Nanna for taking the wasp out of the hall. Year Three visited the Halo with Mr. Grime and apparently had a wonderful time in the morning when the weather was glorious.

Thank you all for your support over since the beginning of the year and we look forward to working in partnership with you for the best of the children over the next weeks and months.

Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing all of those smile on Monday morning.

With respect,

Mr Neil Ringrose
