Annual Science Fair: April 29

The annual Science Fair is approaching. We hope you will join us on Saturday, April 29. The judging appointments will occur from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and the public viewing of the projects will be from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. The event will again take place at The Connect 44 Center. District 44 Partners with Community Organization for Belonging Series

We All Belong: A Three-Part Series will begin next month. We are hopeful members of our school community and beyond will join us to take part in conversations about diversity and inclusion.


Led by members of the District 44 Administration and Kaveria Lezza, Founder of Building Love Amongst Cultures, we are hopeful you will take part in this experience meant to break down walls and bring together our community.


Please make sure and RSVP as space will be limited. Additionally, childcare is available via the Lombard Park District. Reservations is required and can be made here.

Doing More for Lombard 44: World Expo Planning Team

Members of the World Expo Planning Team, who serve various roles as part of the district's multilingual program, were on hand to present about the upcoming World Expo event. This team has been working tirelessly to make the event a tremendous success for the entire Lombard District 44 community.


The event will take place on March 9 from 5:30-7:30 pm at The Connect Center. The goal of the event is to celebrate the diversity of our students and their families and create greater community connections.

Board Discusses Dual Language Programming Decision

Over the last several months, there have been ongoing conversations about the district's decision to move from a dual two-way program (meaning both native English and native Spanish speakers are in the program) to a dual one-way program (meaning only native Spanish speakers are in the program).


At the meeting, the Board upheld the decision of the administration continue with a one-way dual language program.Superintendent Dr. Ted Stec released a communication to families currently in the program with additional information.
