Moving? Not Returning to Tiffany Ridge next year?
We need YOU! Please volunteer!
The 2019-2020 school year is going to be an amazing year and we would love for YOU to be part of it. If you’ve been thinking about becoming more involved, now is the time. Please take a moment and look at the link below and place your name in an area you’d be interested in helping out with next school year (2019/2020) within PTA. While we would love it if you can chair a committee, you don’t have to be the chairperson of a committee to help!
Have you completed RESIDENCY VERIFICATION?
Tiffany Ridge has only 60% of our families complete! Please log into your parent portal to verify your student(s) information and upload your residency documents. This also enrolls for your child for next school year! Click HERE for more details or call the Tiffany Ridge Office if you need assistance.
Student Report Cards
Student report cards will also be available for viewing online on Friday, June 7th. See below for guidance to access the online report cards for your student.
SIXTH-GRADE ORIENTATION
If you will have a sixth grader in school next year, each middle school is hosting a sixth-grade orientation this summer!
Sixth graders will have the chance to try their new lockers, ride their new bus routes and meet their eighth-grade WEB leaders! Orientation at each middle school will run from 7:45-10:45 a.m. on Aug. 6. WEB, or Where Everybody Belongs, is a mentoring program that matches all sixth graders with eighth-grade leaders to welcome them and help them feel comfortable in their new schools.
Sixth graders will be able to take their bus to orientation along their new bus route. Then they will have a light breakfast and go through a series of activities with their WEB leader, who will talk about lessons learned in middle school. This day will help sixth graders feel connected to their school, so they can start a successful year!

What is AVID?
By teaching and reinforcing academic behaviors and higher-level thinking at a young age, AVID Elementary teachers create a ripple effect in later grades. Elementary students develop the academic habits they will need to be successful in middle school, high school, and college, in an age-appropriate and challenging way. Children learn about organization, study skills, communication, and self-advocacy. AVID Elementary students take structured notes and answer and ask high-level questions that go beyond routine answers.
The strong college-going culture on an AVID Elementary campus encourages students to think about their college and career plans. College and careers are no longer foreign concepts, and teachers provide the academic foundation students need to be on a path for college and career success. AVID Elementary closes the opportunity gap before it begins.
What is Conscious Discipline?
Teachers and staff at Tiffany Ridge will be learning about and implementing Conscious Discipline practices next year to support positive learning environments for all students. Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based discipline approach and can help school staff, teachers, and students. Conscious Discipline integrates classroom management with social-emotional learning, uses everyday events as part of a school's curriculum, and addresses the adult as well as the child. Conscious Discipline has also been proven to reduce aggression by 64% while increasing reading scores by 18%; in fact, Conscious Discipline classrooms score significantly higher in statewide reading comprehension, writing, and math tests.
At Tiffany Ridge, we will focus on our “School Family” which will allow for the following to occur:
- Increasing the willingness to learn by creating a sense of belonging
- Boosting impulse control internally: a much more effective approach than an external system of punishment and rewards
- Helping children develop and apply sustained attention by reducing stress and encouraging contributions in a caring atmosphere
Schools across the nation and in other countries have used Conscious Discipline to improve student academic success and transform classrooms from places of fear, bullying, and struggle into places of safety, cooperation, and helpfulness.
Do you know a Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
