Four Day Week!

We hope you all had a restful holiday weekend! Even though we have a four day week, we have lots of learning and fun ahead for our kids. Summer is definitely still here, as the temperatures continue to stay HOT! Our kids are allowed to take their water bottles out to recess in order to stay hydrated.

Our first CIA meeting had a great turnout! We appreciate your willingness to get plugged in and learn how you can support our school. There have been more families sign up to volunteer this school year than we ever dreamed about, so thank you for your committment!

We appreciate our families for helping us ensure kids' safety on campus. When you show car tags in the car line and stop at the office for a visitor's badge, our school is aware of "safe" adults. Thank you for your efforts and your understanding of our process.

Watch for updates via Smore! We plan to spotlight teachers, families, and kids in the future, as well as keep you informed on happenings in our school and community. We will share our newsletter via Twitter and Facebook, as well as hard copies upon request!

CIA: Community in Action

Our New Family Involvement Group!

We would love for you to join our NEW group, the CIA! We are inviting families, extended families, neighbors to our school, community members, and business groups to join our staff in working together for our kids. This is a group open to ALL people who want to be involved! There are many ways to contribute to our school that will support kids and teachers. We want to get you plugged in and involved with us. For more information, please contact Mrs. Hill bethany.hill@cps.k12.ar.us or Mrs. Reed leeann.reed@cps.k12.ar.us. You may also call our office at 501.743.3564 to speak with us! Look for more information coming home about future family events, and remember to return your yellow volunteer sheet back to school so we will know how you want to support. If you need a new volunteer form, please let your teacher know.

A Student's Perspective of Her Time at Central

Hi, My name is Chloe. I have been at Central Elementary since Pre-K, and I am in 4th grade now. I love being at school and being a part of all of the cool activities that happen at school. All of the teachers I have had are super nice, loyal, kind and they love kids. They always make things fun. I can't forget the best principal ever, Mrs. Hill, she is always there when you need her and she supports the whole building. She is the lead learner and she truly believes that 'It's All About Kids." I hope that your child enjoys it as much as I do.
