In this unit, the children will be investigating properties of chemicals and using these properties to identify 5 mystery chemicals. As we perform each science experiment, we will also be working on “Writing like a Scientist”. The children will be recording their hypothesis, observations and conclusions in a Science Notebook. During this first unit of study, the science notebook writing will be heavily modeled for the students.
Last week we added water to our 5 Mystery Chemicals and observed what happened. This week we will add vinegar to our chemicals and record our observations.
