Social Work Corner

As everyone is now into the swing of another school year, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our new social worker Ms. Mendez. She will be working with Preschool/Kindergarten and Ms. Calderon will be with 1-4th grade. We’re excited to get to know many of you and your children this new school year!

In order to support and build a strong relationship with students though their elementary school years, social workers:

  • meet individually with students
  • work in groups with students to develop specific skills or strategies
  • conduct structured lessons in classrooms
  • consult and collaborate with students, families, staff and community resources to promote student success.
