Bobcat Broadcast
March 26, 2021
A Message from Mrs. Caudill
As a reminder we want you to Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate over this break! We believe school breaks should be just that - a brief reprieve from school responsibilities like homework, special projects, planning, and grading. It is a time to reconnect with loved ones without the stress of school work creeping in. I will be leading by example and there will be no Bobcat Broadcast next week due to Spring Break. Please look for a new Broadcast on Friday, April 9. I hope each of you have a relaxing break full of family, fun and togetherness.
Stay Safe,
Devon Caudill

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing | Sunday, April 4, 2021, 11 am - 6 pm at NHS
I encourage all families, especially those that traveled or visited outside their regular close contact ‘bubble’ over spring break, to participate in the FREE Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing on Sunday, April 4, 2021, 11 am - 6 pm at Northville High School Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required.
This drive-thru testing event is open to all Northville residents as well as the general public and will take place on Sunday, April 4, 2021, from 11 am to 6 pm at Northville High School. Please consider participating in COVID testing prior to returning to school the week of April 5th. We know that actions such as this taken by our school and local community members will help limit the spread of the coronavirus as we return to school after spring break.
lease Remember to Use the COVID-19 Student Screener EACH DAY When We Resume Classes after Spring Break
As you prepare to send students back to in-person learning after spring break, please remember to use the COVID-19 Student Screener EACH DAY before your child comes to school. REMINDER: If you travel internationally, please follow the quarantine and testing requirements found in Question 3 on this screener.
If you traveled domestically or otherwise visited friends and family outside of your regular close contact ‘bubble’ over spring break, please consider participating in the FREE Drive-Thru COVID Testing at NHS on 4/4/2021 or test at a convenient location for you. NPS is dedicated to providing in-person learning and would like your help in ensuring that we have a safe space for our students to learn and grow.

CLOSE CONTACT QUARANTINE UPDATE
As you may be aware, the Wayne County Health Department has adjusted the quarantine requirements for students identified as being a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case to 10 days (from the previous requirements of 14). Parents should continue to monitor their child for symptoms and not send them to school where symptoms are present. Additionally, if your child has had COVID-19 in the past 5 months (evidenced by a positive PCR), quarantine is not required. We began following these new requirements immediately and notified all families where an identified close contact quarantine could be shortened under these new rules.
SCREENING FORM UPDATED
Please remember to use the Wayne County Health Department COVID-19 Daily STUDENT Symptom Screening Tool (2.16.2021) each morning to determine if your child can come to school. If your child is a close contact to a positive case, please plan on a 10 day quarantine as the 14 day quarantine will only be required in circumstances where symptoms are present or as required by the health dept or your child's medical care provider.
We thank you in advance for being mindful of these requirements, as they keep your children and ALL of our children and staff safe.
Traveling Internationally For Spring Break????
Spring Break is quickly approaching. Students will be off from school Monday, March 29-Friday, April 2, returning to school Monday April 5th. As a reminder please contact the attendance line to report any absences before or after the scheduled Spring Break dates. If you plan to travel internationally for Spring Break, please be advised of the updated requirements from the Wayne County Health Department. The Wayne County Health Department has updated the requirements for students returning to school after international travel.
These changes require that students stay home to quarantine for 7 days from the date that they returned to the U.S. No earlier than the 7th day of return, a student must have a COVID-19 PCR test and have a negative result before returning to school. PCR test results can be emailed to: fritzbe@northvilleschools.org Any travel to US Territories, including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Commonwealth Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands ARE NOT considered international travel for the purpose of the new quarantine and testing requirements.

Every month Amerman Focuses on a new theme and Leader in Me Habit of the Month. The focus for the month of April is Caring and our Habit of the Month is Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw!
This month’s Habit: Habit #7 - Sharpen the Saw
What this means: Balance is Best. Seek continuous improvement and renewal professionally and personally.
Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have–you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual. Here are some examples of activities:
