Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Families,

The last two days have been a whirlwind for our staff as they prepare to transition to an online platform. We have been discussing protocols, providing professional development, and a vast amount of communication. I can assure you we are working our hardest to develop an experience that continues learning, connects with students, and maintains communication with everyone.

We also have had our share of changes, adjustments, clarifications. Our teachers have been patient and flexible with this process and I would ask that you extend that same grace over these initial days and know that we are working to create the best experience possible.

We will be using Schoology as our main platform for course delivery. We will use the resources within Schoology as well as our G-Suite Apps (including Youtube), Screencastify, and Flipgrid. There may be other resources used by specific subjects but those will be the primary tools.

Our primary mode of communication will by email with opportunities to meet virtually or by phone if necessary. I have included a link to the Jerome Directory if you need to contact a teacher, counselor, etc.

More resources will follow over the coming days as we navigate this new opportunity together. We will make it and be better for it. We are here for your kids, we love them and are doing everything we can to provide an experience that will be meaningful.



UPDATED: Day 1/Day 2 Schedule

March 16-17: Professional Learning and Site Development


  • Teachers will connect with their students and make sure that everyone knows our plan for communicating while we are learning remotely. Students will also be asked to review Digital Citizenship components for online learning.

March 19: Day 1 (Per. 1-4):

March 20: Day 2 (Per. 5-7)

Both of these will be "test" days to help us gauge our implementation.

We have intentionally divided the secondary day into two parts (Day 1 and Day 2), so we want to make sure that our students will only expect to begin learning in half of their classes on Thursday, and the other half of their classes on Friday.

Please send me any feedback that you or your child has once your child has experienced once we have made it through both days of learning.

What if my son/daughter needs help with their Chromebook?

Please have your child email the teacher with the problem. We will take it from there and submit a tech ticket to find a remedy. Based on the number of ticket needs we will adjust the response accordingly.

Spring Sports Update

Jerome Athletics and Update from OHSAA

All Sports

A MANDATORY no-contact period is in effect for all school-sponsored sports March 17-April 5, 2020. Additionally, there will be a mandatory shut down of facilities used for the purpose of conducting athletics activities from March 17-April 5, 2020.

The OHSAA Non-Interscholastic Rule is still applicable to all athletes, including spring sport athletes. For spring sport athletes, they are in violation of the non-interscholastic rule if they participate in any non-school sport in the same season if they have already participated in a scrimmage or contest for the school team in that sport. Additionally, at no time are they permitted to participate in any non-school sport exceeding the 50% limitation defined in General Sport Regulation 7.

Spring Sport Out-of-State Travel

All DCS Trips have been canceled.

TENTATIVELY be in place:

April 6 – 10 MANDATORY Practices and/or Acclimatization (if required)

April 11 All Scrimmages/Regular Season Contests may begin

Tournaments will remain on dates as currently scheduled
