Teacher Shout Outs!
#BESTools Incentive-Round 1-Winners
Congrats to 1st grade, 2nd Grade, and 4th Grade teams! Teachers on these teams all earned the Round 1 badges as a group! They enjoyed a free Chick-fil-a lunch from Mr. Neuhaus! Continue reading for more incentives coming up for badges!
1st Grade Weather PBL using Touchcast
1st Grade students recently completed their Weather Patterns PBL! Below are pictures from Mrs. Nolan's class using Touchcast to help create unique weather reports. Check out the Blog Post Mrs. Nolan did that takes you through the entire PBL.
Check out one of Ms. Johnston's Weather PBL videos below. You can see that Touchcast allows you to use the green screen to change the background for a video. This tool was very useful in allowing students to make their news casts look and feel authentic!

Kindergarten-Reflection Posters for Mathseeds and IRead
Kindergarten uses "Reflection Posters" to allow students to refelect on their learning after using online tools like Mathseeds and iRead. Below are images from Mrs. Mavridoglou's class reflecting on their class posters. This certainly helps our young friends starting to think about their learning!
2nd Grade-Flipgrid
Mrs. Silverboard's class recently used Flipgrid in the classroom as part of their Global Read Aloud project. Mrs. Silverboard's class connected with a class in California to share their thoughts on the book "Fenay and Hattie". Students recorded their thoughts on how Fenway changed during the book, characteristics of Hattie, and how Fenway's point of view changed the way they read the book. You can check out their Flipgrid Here!
This is a great tool to give voice to students and to collaborate with others in the school or around the world!
Mrs. Leeson-TAG
Students in Mrs. Leesons TAG class had to find the mystery answer to their inquiry lesson. Once they found it, they recorded their findings and explanations in Seesaw. Teachers love using Seesaw as a means to give students a voice and share work that otherwise would never make it home. Parents can view their child's work once the teacher opens the family feature in the settings.
