A Busy Couple of Weeks!
The transition from October to November is always a fun and festive time, although VERY busy. Although the weather did not cooperate with hosting an outdoor Halloween parade, the students did get to show their costumes in the halls. If you did not get a chance to watch the video I made, the link is later in the newsletter. A big THANK YOU to our homeroom parents and other volunteers for hosting afternoon parties. Everyone had a blast!

Parent Information & Resources
November is Epilepsy Awareness Month
Beth Scolis, FMS Special Education teacher, and Jessica Rosini, parent of child with epilepsy, will offer a parent training to learn about epilepsy and its effects on education. The training is being held on Thursday, November 21st 6:30-7:30 pm at the Spellman Education Center located at 782 Springdale Drive, Exton, PA 19341.
WCASD recognizes that 1 in 26 people will have epilepsy in their lifetime, 1 in 10 will have a seizure, and there are 16,900 children just in the state of PA with epilepsy. This mother/daughter duo will share their experiences with epilepsy from the perspective of both educators and caregivers. Their presentation will include their personal journey with epilepsy and tips for parents of children with epilepsy.
