Progress...not perfection.
Just this past week, we saw significant progress in safe practices at our drop-off and pick-up lines. MOST drivers remained in their vehicles while waiting in the front lot and back lot driveways. THANK YOU!
It appears that the 50-foot "NO STOPPING ANYTIME" section of curb on Velarde Drive is still filling up with vehicles nearly every day. In speaking with some of the drivers, most who remain in their cars, I learned that most drivers were unaware that it is illegal and unsafe to park or even wait here in their vehicles. Most were happy to move when corrected.
As an educational institution, we always keep in mind that progress, not perfection is our goal in every interaction.
To that end, all Tiger students will bring home their first progress report on Friday, October 7. The report itself is general and is intended to serve as a starting point for deeper discussions at parent/teacher conferences the following week.
This coming Tuesday, every Tiger family will receive an email from your child's teacher inviting you to sign-up online for a parent-teacher conference during the week of October 10-14. Please look for that email in your inbox and sign-up early for a spot that works best with your schedule. The choice of an in-person or remote conference via Zoom is yours to make.
We look forward to these "points of progress" discussions with you throughout the school year. It is in our working together, one step at a time, that we will help our students and our community realize great gains.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch
Front Lot Drivers MUST remain in vehicles at ALL TIMES. Students may exit and enter vehicles in this driveway, but drivers MUST remain in vehicles. Parents/guardians who wish to walk to the gate or on campus must park on the street. | Velarde Drive The "NO STOPPING ANYTIME" signs mean just that. The curb here should look EMPTY like this ALL the time. Any vehicles parking here disrupt the views of vehicles leaving our front parking lot and create a serious safety hazard. | Back Lot Drivers MUST remain in vehicles at ALL TIMES. Students may exit and enter vehicles in this driveway, but drivers MUST remain in vehicles. Parents/guardians who wish to walk to the gate or on campus must park in a designated parking spot or on the street. |

Celebrating Wildwood!
Wildwood's 2022-2023 School Plan
Each year our school develops the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This document outlines our school’s goals and corresponding budgeted actions for the school year. A big thank you to our School Site Council for their work in developing our SPSA! The draft version of our school’s SPSA is now available here. Please feel free to contact Mr. Lynch at klynch@conejousd.org if you have any questions or input.
School Cents!
It's time to start collecting those receipts again! Earn our school up to $2500 from The Oaks by submitting receipts from Sept 1st-April 30th. Each dollar spent earns 5 points. From now until Oct 31st, earn 10X the points!!
Simply submit the receipts at shopandlog.com/theoaks, turn in receipts at the front office in the School Cents box or send a screenshot to Jen Charoenrath at (909)374-1598.
Another way to help Wildwood is by donating a Laptop, Monitor, TV or Tablet to the E-Waste recycling event on Sept 24th, 9am-3pm in the east parking lot. Sorry, no phones at this time. Please fill out an order form from the office to receive credit. Not able to make it? Drop off your electronics in the E-Waste box at the front office.
Health and Safety
It is important that all positive cases of COVID-19 are reported to the health office. If your student tests positive for COVID-19, we need to know in order to ensure we are supporting your student through their recovery. The health and safety of our student body and staff is a top priority. If you have any questions or concerns related to COVID-19, please reach out to our office.
