Free Air Purifiers
The City of Ashland secured a grant from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality to protect our most vulnerable citizens from the effects of smoke by supplying free HEPA-grade room air purifiers to those who qualify. Whether smoke is from wildfires or from controlled burns, smoke particulates can be removed using a room air purifier.
Due to high demand for the air purifiers and a limited supply, we will be qualifying people based on the following criteria:
- Applicants with the greatest financial need
- Age vulnerability which includes young children & students under 15 and, residents over 65
- Persons predisposed by heart and lung problems including asthma and COPD
Apply for an air purifier before Midnight on Sunday, February 21st.
