Your FEEDBACK matters..................

Based on your feedback and in support of our site goals, on Monday, November 16, 2015 we will NOT meet as a full staff for our professional meeting time. Stop cheering! :)

Rather, we will meet in grade levels for planning; we will plan for the coming Unit and standards, collaborate on a common formative assessment to give to students that will translate into the tool used during PLC as we continue our data conversations. We will also calendar our Unit assessments. TO DO: Decide who will host the meeting in their work area, have each team member to sign the agenda, then each person complete an EXIT ticket and one person submit deliverable items to Ms. Blakney/Ms. Fraser's mailbox. The documents referenced below can be accessed by the links attached. Collaboration is one of the KEYS to our SUPERHERO success.

You will need the following:

PLC's for the Week of NOVEMBER 16 - NOVEMBER 20

During this week, PLC's will be structured somewhat different. Rather than meeting during your plan to discuss/review data and plan, you will travel together to another grade level to observe instruction (i.e. guided reading, balanced literacy, balanced numeracy) or social studies/science content. You will use a capture sheet (district created) to identify teacher and student evidences, then discuss them as a team. Remain in classroom for at least 10 minutes (select a time keeper). When you are done, turn in the capture sheets to Ms. Blakney/Ms. Fraser (mailbox is okay).

We will provide a schedule including each grade levels literacy and math block based on the current schedules developed by each grade level.

Specials Team: You will complete the same task, then meet to discuss how you can support literacy (math & reading) and record, also provide this information to Ms. Blakney/Ms. Fraser.

Outcomes:

Each team will be able to observe best practices for instruction, teacher efficacy will be strengthen, collaboration will occur to support integrated curriculum.

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

  • capture sheet (depending on the time you go will determine what page you will use)
