Your cooperation will assist in keeping your out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum. SELL! SELL! SELL!
This is also a great opportunity for families to get started on their 20 volunteer hours. We need parents and grandparents to help sort and organize the orders on Wednesday, October 10th from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. If you are available, please email or call/text Sarah Richter at sarahags05@yahoo.com or (920) 287-5552.
MAP Testing
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing will begin Monday, September 24th and continue through Friday, September 28th. MAP is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth. All students in grades K-8 will be tested to track their academic growth. Please do not schedule any appointments for your children during this time. It is important that the students are in attendance and well-rested, so they can do their best on the tests. Thank you for your cooperation.
National Walk to School Day
National Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 10. We will meet at 7:15 am in the parking lot of Lakeshore Lanes, located at 2519 South Business Dr. We will gather for juice and bakery and then all walk together to school at 7:30 am. Wear your school colors and make a cool sign (for example “CCA Walks to School”). Let’s all walk together that day and show our support for CCA!
CCA Calendar Raffles
One of our main fundraisers each year is the Annual Calendar Raffle. The money raised help to keep our tuition rates as low as possible. The Calendar Raffle is a pocket calendar that features special events throughout the year at Christ Child Academy as well as some advertising. We will draw $30 winners every day of the school year. On special holidays that are listed, the cash payout is $200! The cost per Calendar is just $20.00.
As in past years, each family will receive 20 calendars to sell. This is the minimum number that we would like each family to sell. Our goal is to sell 2500 calendars for a net profit of about $40,000!!
All calendars must be sold and turned in by January 2nd, 2019 (First day back after Christmas break). State law prohibits us from selling calendars past the first drawing. We encourage you to turn the tickets in as they are sold; please do not hold on to them as we want to make sure that none get lost or forgotten.
Make sure to take the raffles with you to family get-togethers. The calendars also make great birthday or Christmas gifts for your friends and family.
The Calendar Raffles will be distributed to all families by the end of September.
2018 Annual Fund Appeal
Each year, we provide parents an option to add additional addresses of family and friends to the mailing list of the annual fund appeal. In the carrier today is a hard copy of the letter along with the form to be completed and submitted to the school office. or you may download it below. Look for your 2018 Annual Fund Appeal letter to arrive in November. Donations are accepted through June 30, 2019.
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Animals / Pets
During drop off and pick up, please leave your pets in the vehicle. Due to student allergies, fear of animals, and insurance liability, this creates an unsafe environment which can be avoided. Thank you for adhering to this school policy. This also applies to preschool pick up at 11:15 am.
Drop Off
When dropping off your students in the morning, there are two options. One is to drive up on the school-side of Henry Street and have your child exit the vehicle in a quick manner as to not cause a back-up of cars. The second option is to park in the church parking lot and walk your child into school. All preschool parents should be parking in the parking lot, not on the street. We would prefer parents do not park on the street and then walk your child across the traffic in the morning.Pick Up
After school, students in grades K-5 are dismissed through the church doors and are to wait for parents to walk them to their vehicles. These students are not to be walking through the parking lot without a parent or older sibling in middle school. Students in grades 6-8 are dismissed out the middle school doors and may be picked up on the school-side of Henry Street or they may walk down toward the church parking lot to secure a ride. We discourage parents from parking across Henry Street and having their child walk across traffic at this time of day. This creates an unsafe situation and places students in danger.
Church Doors Locked at 8:35 am
Reporting Absences, Appointments, or Sickness
To ensure the maximum efficiency in our school office, please email Judy regarding questions you may have after reading the weekly newsletter and checking the school website. When reporting absences, appointments/early release or pick-up changes, please email the homeroom teacher and Judy. Please limit phone calls to timely matters. Safeguarding All God's Family
If parents or grandparents plan to participate in field trips, work in the lunchroom, coach, or help out at school, you must attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. You must register on-line at www.archmil.org and indicate you are associated with Christ Child Academy. If you have not previously been trained, now is a great time to attend a session.
Coats For Kids
The Christ Child Academy Student Service Council will once again be collecting coats for the Annual Coats for Kids Drive. Any gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots, or scarves can be dropped off in the barrel at the school’s main entrance, now through October 31st. What a great way to help those in our community and teach our children the goodness of giving. Thanks for your support!

BINGO Help Needed
School Mass Attire
Students are to wear their CCA polo shirts with the logo along with dress or Khaki pants or a skirt for the girls. Polo shirts are to be tucked in for both boys and girls. Any additional items such as sweaters or vests must have the CCA logo and be worn over the polo shirt. These additional items are available on the Land's End website. Yoga pants are not to be worn to Mass except under a skirt and in a solid color.
Box Tops for Education
CCA can earn money from clipping Box Tops found on various products. When you buy items, simply clip the Box Top and bring it to CCA. The Box Tops are submitted, and our school receives a check which is used towards our activity fund. It’s another easy way for you to help the school by purchasing the products you already use! Enlist your family, friends and neighbors to collect the Box Tops, too.
Kwik Trip Milk Moola
CCA will receive 5¢ (five cents) for each cap or milk bag top they redeem from Nature’s Touch® products. The program will only accept specially marked caps and bag tops that feature the Milk Moola symbol. Thank you to Paula Hilbert, who has been overseeing this program for many years!
Attention All CCA Campers
Please join our CCA family for a fun-filled weekend at the annual CCA Camp Outing held at Kohler Andre State Park (park sticker required) on September 28 - 30. Rain or shine, camping or not, please come enjoy the camaraderie. Bring your own refreshments and an optional snack to share. If you are not a camper, stop out during the weekend for a visit. It is an excellent time for new families to get to know other school families. If there are two high school students that would like to run the children's games for two hours late Saturday afternoon, please let us know! They will earn some volunteer hours. So grab some chairs, a cooler full of drinks, marshmallows and join the fun! If you have any questions, please email Nick Reinl at nick.reinl@larrysco.com.
