Hammer Case
Marissa DeVault, guilty or not guilty?
Law Side
Marissa DeVault is in the process of being tried on the account of brutally bludgeoning her husband to death. She pleas it was self defense, because he frequently both physical and sexually abused her in the past.
What does the blood say?
The blood spatter shows that it was a messy scene. The killer didn't leave without being covered in blood. The blood also suggests the blows with the hammer had a lot of force therefore making the blood splat at a high velocity.

The Victim
Accomplice?
I believe she may be an accomplice because based on the blood spatter her first story was inaccurate, then her story fluctuated when the new evidence was brought forth, and she had no reason for self defense based on close friends reference. The blood spatter showed strong blows and a killer covered in similar patterned blood spatter. Mrs. DeVault wasn't there when her husband was killed, but she knows who did it. Her lover killed her husband and she wants to protect him therefore she is claiming self defense because she thinks she can plead not guilty. Boom. Case solved.
