Columbus Christian School News

Welcome from Mrs. Donnell
We have made it through the first few days of school and not lost any students yet! That is always a win! The CCS staff and students have done a great job getting started. We have so many changes in the building, but everyone is being so patient and helpful as we all adapt.
We are “Fearlessly” moving forward and prayerfully working to implement the changes we know will help us advance God’s Kingdom and create students who are Fearless for Christ!
Again, thank you all for a great start!
In Christ’s Love

CCS Welcomes...
Mr. Roy Sidener - High School Mathematics
Mr. Sidener received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas. After graduation, he and his wife Connie, moved to the Kansas City area where he began his career as a Fire Protection Engineer, working for an insurance company. After moving to Texas for several years where he worked on large projects such as the Alaskan pipeline, Denmark off-shore drilling platform and an Arabian water plant, Mr. Sidener moved to Ohio where he and his wife raised their three children.
Mr. Sidener has taught and tutored, Mathematics, Science, Mechanical Drafting, AutoCad, MathCad and various Microsoft Office programs at the University of Toledo. In his free time, Mr. Sidener enjoys archery, woodworking and air-brush spray painting. Mr. Sidener will be teaching Algebra I & II in addition to Geometry. Mr. Sidener looks forward to joining our CCS family!
Mrs. Miranda Fleeharty - Teaching Assistant
Mrs. Fleeharty was born and raised in southern Illinois. She moved to Columbus with her husband over 11 years ago. She is a graduate from IUPUC with a degree in Business. The Fleehartys have two children, Maddyn (3rd grade) and Raelee (Pre-K). Mrs. Fleeharty is excited to be a part of the CCS staff and cannot wait to start working with the elementary students!
Mrs. Cynthia Gover - Teaching Assistant
"I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia in a large and loving family. I met my husband the first week of our freshman year at Berea College in Kentucky where I received my bachelor's degree in Community and Human Services. Eleven years of marriage and four spunky and spirited children later, we are so happy to be settled in this special community where we call Columbus Christian School home! What a blessing it is to send our kids to a place we know is pointing them towards Jesus through their education. In my spare time (what's that with four kids?) I enjoy baking, reading, and photography. While our family has been a part of CCS community for six years now, I am greatly looking forward to joining the CCS team full time - and helping students and teaching staff on a daily basis!"
