We invite all students to attend our Senior Showcase on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. Our seniors will be showcasing their CAS project or TOK essay or Extended essay at this event, and we'd love to have a great turnout!

We are excited to announce that IBSSA will be selling sweatshirts as a fundraiser in mid-January. Sweatshirts are light blue and will be $25 each. Proceeds will go to our IBSSA fund which provides snacks at meetings (pre-Covid), craft supplies for meetings, and offsets the cost of our IB banquet in May.

Attention all IB families: We have extended the deadline for current students in grades 8-10 to apply! If you know of a young student who excels academically and would thrive in our Advanced Academics program, talk with them about the IB World School, an IB Diploma, and the core (TOK, CAS, and the Extended Essay.) If they are interested in participating in our challenging program, encourage them to apply at pisd.edu/ib under the Admission tab. The district deadline is January 7 at 9:00 p.m. (Remember- if you are currently at the IB World School, you do not need to apply again!) We will inform families of lottery results on the evening of January 11.

If your student is in the class of 2024, I am hosting parent meetings beginning on January 6 during which we will discuss an IB diploma and your child's schedule for grades 11 and 12. Our IB banquet will be held on the evening of Friday, May 13, so save the date! We will begin selling tickets in mid-April, and we are looking forward to student and teacher awards, dinner, and dancing!
