Curriculum

Math--Students will use concrete and pictorial models to determine the sum of a multiple of 10 and a one-digit number in problems up to 99.

For Example...

80 + 2 = 82

60 + 7 = 67

20 + 9 = 29


Reading--Author Study, Mem Fox

Social Studies--Students will identify anthems and mottoes of Texas. This week we will learn about the following Texas symbols...


state flag--it has one white star because we are "The Lone Star State"

state small mammal--armadillo

state bird--mockingbird

state flower--bluebonnet

state tree--pecan tree

state motto--friendship

Review Week--No Spelling Test or Homework

We will continue to review previously learned spelling patterns in class, but there are no new words or spelling test.
