D303 Equity Audit

As part of the district’s equity audit, students, staff, and families have been randomly selected to participate in focus groups to give them an opportunity to share their thoughts on our district’s strengths, areas of need, and long-term opportunities for providing the best educational experience for all students. The focus groups will be led by our partners in the equity audit process- the Consortium for Educational Change (CEC). If you were not randomly selected to participate in a focus group and would like to provide written responses to the focus group questions, please visit the District 303 website and complete the intake form with the email address used in Home Access Center (HAC). Once your email has been verified, you will be sent a link to the questionnaire.

We thank you for your commitment to equity in education, and we are excited about this next step in gathering the voices of our district so that we can create a comprehensive plan.

This is a whole school, all-day event! Any parent who signs up to volunteer will be helping to run a station. Regardless of the time frame you sign up for, we will make sure that your child(ren)'s class will pass through your station while you are helping. Please feel free to email Mr. Lubas or Mr. Born with any other questions or concerns you may have. We are looking forward to a fun and active day!

Richmond Orchestra Performance to Davis Second Graders

A big thank you to the Richmond orchestra for visiting Davis and performing for our second graders! The students performed a few songs as well as shared information about their specific instruments. The second graders were inspired to join the orchestra and discover their musical talent. Thanks again to the orchestra directors from Richmond, Kristen Rohrbach and Elizabeth Mezera.

Band and Orchestra

A big thank you to our 5th grade students for being student leaders and sharing their love of music. Orchestra students went over to Davis this week to show our incoming 3rd graders what orchestra is all about. Our 5th graders did a band presentation to current 4th graders. They sampled a few songs and showed the different types of instruments.

As a reminder, third graders can join orchestra and 5th graders can join band. Yes, you can join both if interested in band and orchestra. Have questions about our programs?

Contact Jen Lydisgen - jennifer.lydigsen@d303.org for band or visit the band website which has information about instruments, rental prices, band lessons, etc.

Kirstin Rohrbach - kirstin.rohrbach@d303.org for orchestra
